Day 14 - Ocean Shores, WA - 2650 Miles

Kite festival today. I can appreciate the difficulty in putting on an all-day kite festival. Once you get the kites up and stake them to the ground, that's about it. About 15 minutes tops. It is a unique sight, but you could look at it all day and it's not going to look any different. It works though as free entertainment.

It's surprising how much kite flyers get into this. As a kid all it took was a 10-cent paper and balsa kite, some rags for the tail, and a big ball of string. Now there are trailers full of support equipment that would do NASCAR proud.

Anyway, here's some pics of the festivities.

You can also cross North Shore Grill off the list of bars to be visited. I was going to hold out until Monday, but what can I say. I'm weak.
