Day 13 - Ocean Shores, WA - 2645 Miles

Today was a "bye" day on my bar tour. I'm not sure when that will restart. Town gets much more crowded on weekends and I prefer near-deserted restaurants. Monday looks likely.

Speaking of weekends, this one marks the first event of our summer season - the Festival of Colors. It's a kite flying display or competition or demonstration. I'm not sure. It's a big deal in the kite community, though. I bet you didn't even know there was a kite community. It officially starts tomorrow but some early arrivals were on the beach this afternoon.

I'm not sure what the proper term is for kite aficionados. Maybe kiters? Kitekateers? Kitezens? Lords of the string? I'll see if I can find out tomorrow.
